Our Programs and Services
Supplemental Groceries
Providing nutritious supplemental food is our main focus. This service is provided by appointment, via drive-through pick-up for families and individuals who meet eligibility requirements.
Monthly Mobile Food Markets
By teaming up with the Tarrant Area Food Bank, Arlington Charities is able to host large-scale food distributions at different sites, three times a month. Mobile Food Markets are first-come, first-served and are open to all individuals and families without the need for an appointment.
Market Truck
Out Market Truck is an oasis on wheels, bringing fresh, nutritious groceries to food deserts within our city. By mobilizing our mission to fight hunger, we are able to serve the economically challenged areas of our community. The Market Truck is equipped with a refrigerated cooler to store dairy and protein options. One side of the truck opens to display selections of fresh fruit, produce, and bakery items. It is a complete choice experience. Learn more.
Grocery Delivery Services
Supplemental grocery delivery service may be available to older adults, mobility-impaired clients, or others who are unable to utilize our drive-through food services. A case manager calls clients who are enrolled in the program to assess their needs, provide social interaction, and to connect them with other agencies and resources. Dietary restrictions due to allergy, health, or religion, will be noted in our records, but Arlington Charities cannot guarantee all items in a delivery will align with client’s needs. Sack Lunch for our Unhoused Neighbors
Two days each week, a sack lunch and hygiene products are provided to unsheltered individuals in our area. They may also get clean clothing, if available. Through a partnership with CleanUpUSA.org, a shower and a haircut is available once a month.
Satellite Pantry at Tarrant County College Southeast Campus
Food insecurity in college students is a pervasive, yet largely ignored problem. The staff at TCC SE reported students not eating for over 48 hours, getting headaches and abdominal pains from lack of food. Arlington Charities sponsors a satellite food pantry on campus that provides easy to prepare meals and healthy snacks for the busy life of college students.
Crisis Assistance & Referral Information
We assist in times of local emergencies (storm damage, fires, etc.) through our programs. We also help our clients and the general public access needed assistance from other agencies.
